The Bowling Green opened in glorious sunshine at 11.00am on Good Friday, 25th April 2016 with approximately 35 people in attendance.
"Nearest the Jack" was won by Rich Staley , a new member, to gain a bottle of French sparkling wine.
16 people took part in the Bill Eley Singles tournament, including six former winners , Brian Dunn, Rob Redfern, Roger Meadows, Richard Eley, Elliot Laboure, & Ron Sturgess
Rich beat Tim Sellens, Peter Swift and Brian Dunn to reach the final against Elliot who beat Terry Vaughan, Ron Sturgess & John Redfern to make it an appropriate final of Son v Grandson of the Trophy provider.
Elliot was eventually the winner 21-12 to make him the second only person to retain the trophy (Roger Meadows doing it in 2011)
